“It’s amazing how two months in Indonesia has instilled such an interest in the country in me. I went from not knowing about Indonesia to know wanting to learn more about its history, to wanting to learn more about Javanese culture and apply for a Fulbright to do so. I want to come back again someday and explore more places in Indonesia and meet more people. I feel so connected and at home in a country I never thought I would have the chance to visit. Now that I’ve had this experience, I want to be able to be able to tell those around me about Indonesia, and hopefully get them as excited and interested about the country as I am now.”
