USINDO is proud to launch the Professional Fellows Program in Summer 2025, a new initiative connecting American graduate students and recent master’s graduates with professional opportunities in Indonesia. Fellows are placed with Indonesia-based organizations to work on projects that match their academic expertise and career goals, gaining real-world experience while contributing fresh perspectives to their host institutions.

The program is designed to be mutually beneficial: companies gain access to young professionals with specialized skills, while fellows gain cultural immersion, hands-on learning, and opportunities to build professional networks in Indonesia. The ultimate aim is to cultivate long-term interest in and engagement with Indonesia among emerging American leaders.

For the pilot year, USINDO partnered with CastleAsia, a leading business advisory group in Jakarta. This partnership provided the fellow with an inside view of Indonesia’s business and policy environment while offering CastleAsia access to international perspectives and academic expertise.

The pilot serves as the foundation for what we envision will grow into a flagship USINDO program in the years ahead.
