Building U.S.-Indonesia Mutual Understanding Since 1994

Project Manager & U.S. External Relations Coordinator for USINDO Education Project (USAID HEPI)

The U.S. – Indonesia Society (USINDO) is seeking applications from qualified individuals to provide services as Project Manager and U.S. External Relations Coordinator for our upcoming project under USAID’s Higher Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI).

THE USAID-HEPI PROJECT

USAID Higher Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI) is a five-year U.S.-Indonesian partnership that will connect U.S. universities to quality Indonesian academic programs, enacting partnership models for joint degrees between Indonesian and U.S. programs, U.S.-based education and study abroad experiences, transfer to U.S. degree programs, and enrollment in U.S. graduate programs. HEPI will function as a consortium of university, government, and industry partners which will build capacity in higher education through three core universities serving as mentors to other partners in the region.

These mentor universities will host workgroups of industry, academic, and government leaders and changemakers, to address key challenges in higher education and workforce preparation. They will provide training and development opportunities to universities in their region through teaching and learning hubs located on each mentor university campus.

Mentor universities and HEPI experts will guide universities to improve curriculum and teaching methods to ensure graduates have the skills, knowledge and experiences needed to be successful in industry. These programs will conform to international accreditation standards, building their reputation as a quality academic experience, and triggering greater U.S. partnership opportunities as results. USINDO will partner with HEPI, offering Indonesian students the guidance and preparation programs they need to apply and complete their academic experience at U.S. institutions.
