USINDO 2022 Gala Dinner – Rising Indonesia: Indonesia’s Recent Economic Success and Growing Global Role as it prepares to Chair the G-20 in November and ASEAN in 2023,
Featuring Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, United States Trade Representative Ambassador Katherine Tai, and Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita
Amidst global economic troubles, Indonesia’s economic performance has been steadily rising. It has posted strong economic gains – a 5.4% GDP growth rate, rising exports, relatively low inflation rates, and a booming stock market.
Indonesia’s economic resilience and performance, plus its balanced geo-political positioning and deft foreign policy, put it in a strong position to deal with the daunting political and economic challenges while presiding over the G-20 and continuing its growing international role when it chairs ASEAN in 2023.
We are most fortunate that Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto attended as our Guest of Honor, to address our USINDO 2022 Gala Dinner audience on Indonesia’s economic outlook as it prepared to chair the crucial November G-20 meeting, and ASEAN in 2023. We are also most pleased that Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartassmita attended as our Indonesian Special Guest.
