USINDO-CSIS Open Forum “The Role of Religion in Politics: Comparing Recent Trends in Indonesia and the United States” – October 2, 2019
On Wednesday, October 2nd 2019, USINDO Jakarta Office and CSIS Indonesia hosted a Politics and Public Policy Forum on “The Role of Religion in Politics: Comparing Recent Trends in Indonesia and the United States”.
The distinguished speakers are Dr. Peter Mandaville (Senior Research Fellow at Georgetown University’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs) and Prof. Azyumardi Azra (Senior Professor of Islamic History and Culture and Former Rector, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University of Jakarta). The event was moderated by Dr. Philips J. Vermonte, Executive Director, Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Jakarta and Member of USINDO Board of Advisors.
