U.S. 2012 Presidential Election: The Outlook 12 Weeks Out
The United States – Indonesia Society in cooperation with @America presents an USINDO Special Open Forum discussion:
“U.S. 2012 Presidential Election: The Outlook 12 Weeks Out”
Speakers:
Peter Hart
President, Peter D. Hart Research Associates
Neil Newhouse
President, Public Opinion Strategies; Governor Mitt Romney’s Pollster
Veteran pollsters Peter Hart of Peter D. Hart Research Associates, and Neil Newhouse of Public Opinion Strategies (currently Governor Romney’s pollster), have been at the forefront of measuring American public opinion for decades. Both bring a wealth of experience from election campaigns and knowledge about historical trends to the outlook for the 2012 U.S. presidential race, presently neck and neck. We are especially fortunate to have both these experts at the same event, bringing Jakarta a range of views covering the U.S. political spectrum.
Hart and Newhouse will present their insights into the 2012 presidential campaign, based on data from their recent nationwide surveys, such as those conducted on behalf of The Wall Street Journal and NBC News, and from their Focus Groups, which provide a deeper perspective on Americans’ core views about each candidate.
They will provide an insiders’ view into voters’ minds, as both speakers outline how voters think and feel about the presidential candidates, and how the mood of the nation and key demographic groups will likely affect the outcome of the 2012 race.
Speaking from the U.S. via live Telepresence technology, they will be answering questions from the live audience in Jakarta. USINDO President David Merrill will moderate the program.
