USINDO cordially invites you to an Executive Roundtable Luncheon discussion with Indonesia’s Minister of National Development, Dr. Bambang Brodjonegoro. This is an opportunity for an off-the-record discussion on Indonesia’s current economic development issues. It will include an exchange of views on how to accelerate Indonesia’s infrastructure development through international private sector engagement, effective public-private partnerships, and international cooperation. Indonesia’s experience on this with other countries, and what would be needed for additional successful programs with the U.S., will be open for discussion.

The requirement for more public-private partnerships in Indonesia’s infrastructure development is clear. Indonesia is projected to require US $370 billion by 2019 for improvements in road, trains and rail, airports, seaports, electricity, oil, transportation, refineries, water, public housing, and technology. The state budget can cover only $155 billion. Programs with other countries have helped, but more U.S. participation would be an important component of closing the gap.

Please join us for this off-the-record exchange of views with the Minister on Indonesian development policies and the opportunities for foreign private sector participation. The event will be led by USINDO US Co-Chair Ambassador Robert Bake. A buffet lunch will be served from 12:00-12:30 followed by the discussion.

This event is by invitation only and free of charge. To register, please RSVP by emailing usindo@usindo.org by Wednesday July 19 at 3:00 pm.
