Two billion people are connected to the internet across the globe and approximately $8 trillion is exchanged each year through e-commerce. The internet has transformed the rules of business, allowing small and medium enterprises to compete on the same platform as large businesses.
The internet access also helps the government’s policy making process to be more inclusive, accountable and effective. It provides an opportunity for the government to connect and reach out to people in diverse and populous countries like the U.S. and Indonesia.
USINDO, US Embassy, and @america are delighted to host Ambassador Daniel A. Sepulveda, Dr. Ilham Habibie, Ms. Shinto Nugroho and Mr. Ruben Hattari to discuss how expanding internet access can support economic growth and government service delivery. Please join us for this iinformative event.
This event is open and FREE of charge. To register, please kindly RSVP HERE, or to usindojkt@usindo.org by July 28th, 2015 by 10:00 am.
