Indonesian Film Screening: Bitter Honey in Washington DC

Opening at West End Cinema,  the feature-length documentary BITTER HONEY provides an intimate and emotionally-charged portrait of three polygamous families in Bali,  Indonesia. Through the lens of polygamy, the plight of Balinese women comes to light in a society where men have authority in many domains and women have little voice in steering or protesting the conditions of their domestic lives.
